Falling 4-Way Style

this past saturday, i jumped back into competition skydiving (pun intended) for the first time in about 5 years. it was a ton of fun, but oh my gosh, did i forget how much work it is! i don't even know when the last time was that i did 6 jumps in a day... let alone 4-way jumps.

i was really lucky to join a pick-up team with some great chicks. it was the first time all 4 of us got to jump together. check us out with our video guy...

the competition was actually held at my old home dz, skydive elsinore, so i got to catch up with some old friends i haven't seen in a while. good times!

there are a growing number of disciplines in the sport of skydiving. but 4-way remains one of the most popular. the point is to work through a serious of pre-determined formations as many times as possible in a specific amount of time. (THIS was our set for the event.)

i don't have the video from saturday yet, but i thought i'd show you what champion 4-way looks like. this is a clip of the army's golden knights. (they make it look really easy!)

fun stuff! now where is my bottle of advil....?

most awesome t-shirt ever

okay, well, it may not be the most awesome t-shirt ever... but it feels like it will be right this moment. i just got the logo for our relay for life team and it is rockin'!! check it out...

my friend christiaan did it for us. you can see more of his work HERE.

i'll be ordering the team shirts soon, and i'd love to see a mess of them at the event. so even if you are only coming to visit for an hour or so, you can still show team spirit!

you don't have to be a registered team member, just someone who is supporting sandee's all stars! so please let me know if you are intersted. i'm guessing they'll be about $15. this is what i had in mind:

anyway, our team is doing great raising funds in the fight against cancer. however, i'm still a few dollars short of my goal, so if you'd like to help out, please click HERE.

yay relay! =)

Happy Easter!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter! It truly is a glorious day!
.
And now, I share with you a blonde joke my father sent to me...

Three blondes died and found themselves standing before St. Peter.

He told them that before they could enter the Kingdom, they had to tell him what Easter was.

The first blonde said, "Easter is a holiday where they have a big feast and we give thanks and eat turkey."

St. Peter sighed and said, "Blondes," and he banished her to hell.

The second blonde said, "Easter is when we celebrate Jesus' birth and exchange gifts."

St. Peter sighed again, said nothing and simply banished her to hell, as well.

The third blonde said she knew for sure what Easter is, and St. Peter said, "Okay, tell me."

So she said, "Easter is a Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having Passover feast with His disciples when he was betrayed by Judas, and the Romans arrested him. The Romans hung Him on the cross and eventually He died. Then they buried Him in a tomb behind a very large b oulder.

St. Peter said, "Verrrrry good."

Then the blonde continued, "Now, every year the Jews roll away the boulder, and Jesus comes out. If he sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of basketball."
